Fried Masala Papad Recipe – Quick & Easy Vegetarian Snack

Ingredients:

Papar / Papad - 6 qty
Ghee / Oil - 6 tsp (for frying)
Onion - 1/2 (finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
Green Chutney - 6 tsp
Tamarind Chutney - 6 tsp
Sev - 3/4 cup
Yogurt - 1/2 cup whisked
Chaat Masala Powder
Red Chili Powder
Coriander - 6 tbsp (finely chopped)
Green Chili - 1.5 finely chopped

Instructions:

How to Make Crispy Chaat Masala Papad:

1) On a pan or griddle over medium heat, add 1 tsp of ghee / oil.

2) Break an uncooked papad into 4 equal pieces and add to the pan.

3) Press down with a flat spatula on the papad edges to ensure even cooking. After about 1 minute, flip.

PRO TIP: Keep pressing flat against the pan to ensure even cooking.

4) Cook for about 1 minute until you see light golden brown spots. Transfer the crispy papad to a serving plate.

5) Add 2 tbsp onion, 2 tbsp tomato, 1 tbsp cilantro, 2 tbsp sev, 1 tsp mint chutney, 1 tsp tamarind chutney, 1 tbsp whisked yogurt, 1 pinch of chaat masala, 1 pinch of red chili powder, and a sprinkle of finely chopped green chili.
