Crispy Chat Pate Pakora (Pakoda)

Ingredients:

2 cups besan
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon of chaat masala
Salt as needed
½ teaspoon of Hing
½ teaspoon Ajwain Seeds
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
¼ teaspoon Turmeric
½ teaspoon Cumin Seeds
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
2 green chili peppers (chopped)
Chopped Cilantro as needed
1 onion (chopped)
Water as needed
Oil for frying
Swad Mint Chutney
Swad Tamarind Chutney

Instructions:

1) In a large mixing bowl, add besan, red chili powder, chaat masala, salt, hing, ajwain seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric, baking soda, onions, green chillies and cilantro.

2) Slowly add in the water and mix the ingredients well.

3) Set the mixture aside in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

4) In a heated oil frying pan, carefully place in heaping tablespoonfuls of mixture into the hot oil.

5) Fry the pakoras until they are brown.

6) Place the pakoras on a plate with a paper towel to soak up the excess oil.

7) Sprinkle with chaat masala before serving!

8) Use SWAD Tamarind and Mint Chutney to make it more Chatpate.
